    President Barham Salih met with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
    Saleh stressed, according to the statement of the Presidency of the Republic, which received (Euphrates News) a copy, the importance of "the role of the United Nations Mission in Iraq," and appreciated "the efforts of the United Nations in support of community peace."
    During the meeting, they discussed "regional and international developments, the war against terrorism and the UN humanitarian and development programs in the country."
    In another meeting, Saleh met with Audrey Azoulay, Director-General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
    Saleh stressed the importance of "the role played by the organization in the development of plans and programs to support the reality of the educational process in Iraq," and appreciated "the efforts of the organization to include the city of Babylon on the list of World Heritage."
