Deputy for Al-Diwaniyah: the poverty rate in the governorate exceeds 60%

Al-Diwaniyah Governorate MP Saad Al-Khazali affirmed on Tuesday that the poverty rate in the province exceeds 60%, calling on the government and the House of Representatives to relief Al-Diwaniyah by establishing economic projects.
Khazali said in a statement to the "information", that "the poverty rate in a governorate exceeds 60% and may be the highest among the Iraqi provinces," noting that "this percentage constitutes a societal threat within the governorate."
Khazali stressed "the necessity of establishing economic projects that will stimulate the economic reality within the province," noting that "the lack of remedial economic conditions and the living conditions that the province is going through constitutes a societal threat to the people of Diwaniyah."
