The Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee presented a full study to the Prime Minister, requesting the purchase of the advanced air defense system (s400).
Member of the committee, Bader Al-Ziyadi, stated that "the committee presented a complete study to the prime minister requesting approval for the purchase of the advanced air defense system (s400) and was discussed with the concerned figures in the General Command of the Armed Forces and is still at the table of the prime minister."
He stressed that "the matter will be resolved after the formation of the new government to approve it with the aim of strengthening the military system." ".
He pointed out that "the committee will be supportive of the next government in its decisions in this regard, and will submit proposals and advice to it accurately," noting that "the request to purchase the air defense system was submitted to the resigned prime minister, but with the government entering the business, he will not be able to issue any decision in this regard."
