The Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, approved the transfer of the sovereign fund project, which was presented by two deputies from the Sairun coalition, Naji al-Saidi and Anam al-Khuzaie, to the government.
A statement by the media department of the council stated, "Al-Halbousi directed (Sunday) to transfer the (sovereign fund) project, presented by MPs Anam Al-Khuzaie and Naji Al-Saeedi, to the Council of Ministers to express his opinion on the sovereign fund after the legal committee in the Iraqi parliament confirmed that the project meets the formal conditions in the constitution. And the rules of procedure of the Iraqi Council of Representatives. "
The statement added that "the reasons on which the project was based require legislation."
