    Mubasher: The General Company for Railways in Iraq set, today, Saturday, a condition for importing new trains, and while it revealed the lines that are currently out of service, it confirmed work on rehabilitating the Baghdad-Mosul line.
    Jawad al-Husseini, the general manager of the company, said in a special statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "some railways have been 100% destroyed as a result of the terrorist acts that Iraq witnessed during the last period."
    He explained that "the Baghdad-Qaim-Akashat line is destroyed at the present time, and work is underway to rehabilitate the bridges and bridges in coordination with the Anbar Province," pointing out that "the Baghdad-Baiji-Kirkuk line has also stopped to be destroyed by terrorism, while work is currently underway on ... Rehabilitation of the Baghdad-Mosul line in order to restore it to service. "
    Regarding the rest of the operating lines, Al-Husseini stated that "the Baghdad-Basra line is witnessing the operation of 12 Chinese-made trains with international specifications that entered service in 2014."

    Al-Husseini stressed, "The presence of French trains that have been rehabilitated by the technical personnel working on the railways," ruling out at the same time, "importing new trains for travelers at the present time, because the import is determined by the number of existing service lines and the projects currently executed, provided they are completed."
