, Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Hamid Naim Al-Ghazi, confirmed, on Sunday, that the government is determined to end the file of the displaced this year.
The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers said in a statement, "The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Hamid Naim Al-Ghazi, met with the Norwegian Ambassador in Baghdad, Aspen Lind Beck, on the occasion of assuming his duties, praising the role of Norway and friendly countries in restoring stability to the liberated cities and its support for the Iraqi government in the fight against terrorism".
Al-Ghazi confirmed, according to the statement, that "the government is determined to end the file of the displaced and encourage the voluntary return to the liberated areas, after it worked to provide basic services to the people of the liberated cities, and to complete the security procedures, and that it had set among its priorities for the current year to end this file and provide the necessary funds to secure services and supplies for the people of the areas." For his part, the Norwegian ambassador praised "the efforts of the Iraqi government in the success of the Iraqi elections, supporting stability in the liberated areas and defeating terrorism," noting "the importance of continuing bilateral relations between the two countries, and that Norway is one of the countries supporting Iraq, and looks forward to establishing large and important projects in the fields of energy and electricity provision."
