    Economy News _ Baghdad
The Ministry of Environment warned, on Wednesday, of the danger of air pollution in the capital, Baghdad, due to the Nahrawan brick factories, describing it as "the most dangerous pollutant of the capital's air."
The Director General of Baghdad Environment, Haider Yousef Mahmoud, said in an interview with the newspaper "Al-Sabah" and followed by "Al-Iqtisad News", that "the Nahrawan brick factories represent the most dangerous air pollutants, as the Ministry of Industry was directed to adopt environmentally friendly incinerators to reduce pollution rates, as well as to address the Ministry of Electricity to replace Filters, power plant systems, and dependence on alternative and environmentally friendly energy, especially after the country's accession to the Paris Agreement on Climate Change.
And he stated, "The environment sector has suffered neglect due to its merger with the Ministry of Health, but the ministry was able to reconstitute and separate it again."
In turn, Director of the Environmental Awareness and Information Department at the Ministry, Amir Ali Al-Hassoun, said: "The violating medical institutions leave liquid and solid waste, which poses a great danger to the environmental reality of the province."
He explained that "the committees will monitor the violating parties, and take all legal measures against the owners of institutions that violate the conditions of health and environmental safety, including private hospitals and medical clinics."
