Iraq is the largest buyer of Turkish agricultural products in 10 months
In a report seen by Shafaq News agency, the association said, "Turkey continues its efforts to diversify markets in an attempt to reach the $250 billion export target it set for this year, after it reached $225 billion in 2021."
And she added, "Outgoing shipments of grains, pulses, and oilseed products jumped in 10 months, by 27.3%, to reach a record $9.3 billion. Fruits and vegetables also achieved their highest sales ever, rising by 24.6% to reach $2 billion." The data also showed that sales of aquaculture and animal products rose 25.8% to $3.36 billion, while dried fruit sales rose 3% to $1.6 billion.
She indicated that Iraq was the largest buyer among other countries of Turkish agricultural products in 10 months, starting from January to October of this year 2022, adding that it had imported $1.92 billion worth of grains, legumes and oilseed products, and $339 million $633.7 million from fruits and vegetables, and $633.7 million from aquaculture and animal products."
