A member of the Parliament of the Kurdistan region, Sabah Hassan, confirmed today, Tuesday, that the region is not the only party in the budget disputes.
Hassan said in an interview with "Baghdad Today", that "there are major differences related to the size of the debts and the demand for appointments and shares of the liberated provinces and regions."
He added, "We do not accept that the region be charged with the problem of delaying the approval of the budget. The solution to the disputes between Erbil and Baghdad is simple, and lies in amending our share and raising it to 14%, and an understanding on a common formula for the delivery of revenues."
