Under the auspices and presence of the Minister of Interior, Mr. Abdul-Amir Al-Shammari, the Ministry held the 33rd session of the Central Committee for Combating Human Trafficking to achieve the objectives of the Anti-Human Trafficking Law No. 28 of 2012, the Center for the Preparation and Qualification of Leaders, in the presence of members of the committee from advisors and general directors in ministries, agencies and relevant authorities, as well as a number of commanders and officers.
The Minister stressed the importance of exceptional work to combat these extraneous cases in our societies and to employ all capabilities through the cooperation of all concerned parties, indicating that there is a decrease in human trafficking crimes, and there is coordination with the judiciary to tighten strict penalties against the perpetrators, praising the great efforts of the judiciary in this field.
His Excellency stressed the importance of concerted efforts between the Ministry of Interior and other institutions and state departments, to limit the spread of such cases.
The session witnessed a number of interventions by the attendees, who emphasized the importance of proper work and preparation to combat this phenomenon and to find ways to deter anyone who begged himself to tamper with security.
