The House of Representatives completed the first reading of two draft laws during its session, which it is currently holding, headed by Muhammad al-Halbousi.
The Parliament's Media Department stated that "the House of Representatives has completed the first reading of the draft law on the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the Marrakesh Treaty to facilitate access to published works for the benefit of persons who are blind, visually impaired, or those with other disabilities in reading publications."
And she added, “The House of Representatives has completed the first reading of the draft law on the second amendment to the Law of Scientific and Consulting Services Offices in Higher Education and Scientific Research Institutions No. (7) of 1997.”
