Shafaq News/ The Prime Minister of Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani confirmed today, Sunday, that after the signing of the oil agreement between Erbil and Baghdad, the region has fulfilled all its "duties and obligations".
This came during his meeting with the British ambassador to Iraq, Mark Bryson Richardson, according to a statement issued by the regional government.

The statement stated that the meeting, which was attended by the British Consul General to the region, Rosie Cave, discussed the internal situation in the Kurdistan Region, and the importance of resolving contentious issues between the region and the federal government.
The prime minister indicated that, after signing the oil agreement, the Kurdistan Region will have fulfilled all its duties and obligations, and we are waiting for the federal government to perform its duties and responsibilities towards the Kurdistan Region.
The British ambassador affirmed his country's support for resolving problems between the Kurdistan Region and the federal government on the basis of the constitution and the agreement signed between Erbil and Baghdad.
With regard to the situation in the Kurdistan Region, the two sides agreed on the importance of holding the Kurdistan Parliament elections as scheduled this year.
In another aspect of the meeting, the necessity of implementing the Sinjar Agreement was discussed, as the two sides affirmed their support for preserving the full rights of the Yazidis, and establishing a culture of peaceful coexistence among the components.
