Today, Friday (August 25, 2023), the spokesman for the Iraqi government, Basem Al-Awadi, revealed directives to Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani regarding lifting abuses, especially with work, the launch of infrastructure projects, and the removal of bottlenecks.
Al-Awadi said in a statement received by "Baghdad Today", that "the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, directed the ministers, governors, and government agencies in charge of removing the abuses, to take into account in the removal process the living conditions of the earners and sellers, as well as with regard to those who live in the encroached lands. This is due to the special circumstances that forced many of our people to take some public places as a station for housing and earning a living.
And he added, "He directed that work be done to find alternative and respectable places that guarantee them the continuation of earning their livelihood, and to work to provide residential lands for distribution among the eligible before starting the operations to remove the necessary abuses, in order to proceed with the infrastructure projects that serve the general citizens."
