The Secretary-General of the Bayraq Al-Khair Party, Muhammad Al-Khalidi, confirmed on Monday that it is impossible for the expelled Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad Al-Halbousi, to return or to pass his party’s candidate for the presidency of Parliament.

He said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, “The list of candidates for the Sunni forces with their various titles has reached 6 according to the latest update, one of whom is nominated by Al-Halbousi.”
He added, "According to our reading and review of the corridors of the discussions, we find that it is unlikely that Al-Halbousi's candidate will receive sufficient political support for the position of Speaker of the House of Representatives, and all paths push towards a consensual candidate who is competent in managing the legislative authority away from any political influences."
He pointed out that "deciding the position before December 18 is very difficult, and attention is turning to after the end of this month," stressing that "the framework forces have observations on many candidates, but an agreement will be reached to support one of them in the end to proceed with deciding the position of Speaker of the House of Representatives."
The Sunni forces presented a list of names nominated for the position of Speaker of the House of Representatives, including the candidate Muhammad Al-Halbousi. Ended 25 February
