The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers formed a higher committee to look into the properties of Christians and other religions that were disposed of in the past period.
The spokesman for the Christian Endowment and Other Religions Diwan, Martin Hormuz, told Al-Sabah that the committee will look into the properties that were disposed of legally or otherwise in the past period.
He explained that all the numbers announced in the media about properties that were forged, seized, encroached upon, or sold without fulfilling the conditions will be considered by the committee, explaining that the committee has broad powers to take measures to restore their legal status, in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice, which will work to issue recommendations to study the complaints submitted by Christian citizens regarding their properties.
