[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / The Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee confirmed the existence of political consensus on approving the general amnesty and retirement law of the Popular Mobilization Forces.
Member of the committee, MP Yasser Iskandar Watout, said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: "Any law cannot be included in the agenda of the House of Representatives session without the agreement of the political blocs on it, and this applies to the draft laws of the general amnesty and retirement of the Popular Mobilization Forces.
He explained that the first reading of the two laws will take place today, and members of the House of Representatives will make comments on them in order to complete the requirements for their approval soon."
The session's agenda includes voting on the draft amendment to the Staff Law No. 25 of 1960, the first reading of two draft laws and another proposed law, and a report and discussion of the "second reading" of another proposed law. /End9[/rtl]
