    [ltr]Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Foreign Minister, Hoshyar Zebari, met the Austrian Foreign Minister, Michael Spindelegger.[/ltr]

    [ltr]A statement by the Foreign Ministry received by IraqiNews.com cited “During the meeting, the two sides discussed the bilateral relations and ways for developing them,” noting that “Zebari stressed the importance of having Austrian embassy in Iraq to strengthen cooperation between the two countries at all levels.”[/ltr]



    “They also discussed a number of international and regional issues of common concern, particularly the Syrian crisis and its impact on the region and the situation of Syrian refugees in neighboring countries,” the statement concluded.
