Iraqi-Iranian talks on transport, electricity and free zone

Basra provincial council said that the Iranian delegation, represented by the Governor of Khuzestan, Iran, Gholam Reza Shariati, who visited the province yesterday discussed with the governor and a group of local government officials set up a railway line between Basra and the city Muhammara Iran, where linking the Iranian side with Iraq for the purpose of the transfer of visitors to the holy shrines.
The deputy governor of Basra Economic Affairs Muhannad Al-Saad for "Journal News" that "the Iranian government discussed with the local government in Basra, also the subject of increasing the electric power supplied by the Iranian side of Basra 200 Mika card", adding that "the governor of Khuzestan, said he would discuss with the Minister Iran's electricity this matter in order to increase the power of Basra. "
In response to a question reporter "Journal News" about to be established between Basra and Iran Free Zone, Al-Saad said that "the subject was discussed also was governor of Basra, has formed a committee headed by the Free Zone director in the province for the purpose of providing an Iraqi investor after the Iranian government apologized for the availability of the investor, "noting that" the Iranian side has completed infrastructure, "pointing out that" the period which was given to make the designs are one month for the purpose of establishing such a free zone serious steps by the local government in Basra, in cooperation with the Directorate of Free zones in Iraq. "
