The volume of trade exchange between Iraq and the Republic of Poland increased to 40 percent on an annual basis, while Iraq welcomed Polish companies to rebuild infrastructure .
"Polish companies are welcome in Iraq and we need partners to rebuild infrastructure," said President Fuad Masoum .
"We thank Poland for its role in the reconstruction of Iraq to help it fight terrorism from our country, " Masoum told a joint press conference after meeting with his Polish counterpart Andrade Doda .
During a two-day visit to Poland, Masoum said Polish soldiers had helped in the war against Da'ash .
"The Polish forces made a huge sacrifice. I made a big contribution in the struggle against Da'ash, and Iraq went through a very difficult period, but we succeeded in succeeding in this struggle, " Masoum said .
Asked about Poland's position on the conflict between the Kurdistan region and the federal government, Duda said the most important thing was that Iraq had its own regime and constitution, and Poland fully supported Iraq's territorial integrity and political cohesion .
"These are the limits on which Iraqi-Kurdish relations should be based on dialogue, " Doda said .
In the first seven months of 2017, the Polish president's aide said that bilateral trade between Poland and Iraq rose 40 percent year-on-year and bilateral trade reached $ 500 million in 2016, according to official data .
