The Minister of Oil announced the arrival of the rate of oil exports from the southern ports to 3 million and 900 thousand barrels per day, the highest rate of export did not reach Iraq from the southern ports before.
"The efforts of workers in the central and southern fields have resulted in achieving the ministry's goals in increasing the rate of oil exports from the southern ports after the cessation of oil exports from the northern port," the statement quoted the ministry as saying.
"What is achieved confirms Iraq's export capacity to increase oil exports and achieve the required targets, but this does not mean the survival rate of exports on these rates."
He stressed "the keenness of the government and the ministry to achieve additional revenues to provide the federal treasury and reduce the proportion of deficit and compensate for part of the losses suffered by Iraq as a result of the cessation of oil exports from the northern port through the Turkish port of Ceyhan."
