A senior leader of the Dawa Party said: "The party decided to enter the elections with two lists, one led by Nuri al-Maliki and another led by Haider Abadi, a solution to the intersections between the two men in the sequence number one."
"The leadership of the party will be divided into two parts, one with Maliki and the other with Abbadi, with the freedom of candidates within the invitation to join either list," said the leader, who preferred not to be identified.
He said: "Abadi was determined to get the number one in the list of the Dawa Party," adding that the participation of two electoral lists, fall within the solutions to the differences between the leadership of the party.
The leader of the call, a former deputy: "to remove more members of the party before the convening of the Constituent Assembly, in the event of this year, in order to prevent them from reaching the new leadership."
