[ltr]British Prime Minister Teresa May said British universities should offer students something valuable for their money as they launch a review that could cut spending and return grants in an effort to attract young voters who helped punish her party in last year's election.[/ltr]
[ltr]In a speech meant to show that her program is greater than just separating from the EU, she said she did not just want to look at financing education but also find ways to raise awareness of the importance of technical studies to prepare the country for life after leaving the union in the age of advanced technologies.[/ltr]
[ltr]"We now have one of the most expensive university education systems in the world," she said at a college in Derby, northern England. "She has the same concerns as students and their officials.[/ltr]
[ltr]"The review will now consider all aspects of how students and graduates contribute to the cost of their studies," she said.[/ltr]
