WASHINGTON (Reuters ) - Washington is ready to impose more economic pressure on Russia if it does not change its behavior , officials at the US State Department and the Treasury Department told a Senate panel on Tuesday .
According to Reuters, the two officials pointed out that the US diplomatic efforts resulted in the cessation of several major arms deals with Russia.
Christopher Ford, Assistant Secretary of State, and Sigal Mandler, acting undersecretary for terrorism and financial crimes, testified before the Senate Banking Committee during a session on the impact of sanctions on Russia.
