Qassimi: Iran established stability and restored calm to Iraq and two countries

In an address to a number of professors and students of the National Defense University in Baghdad, Masjedi said according to IRNA that the Iranian vision towards Iraq is not based on sectarian and partisan criteria, but rather humanitarian, Islamic and brotherly.

The Iranian ambassador stressed that Iran is not arrogant and does not bow to any arrogance, saying that independence, national sovereignty and the dignity of the people above all. 

The Iranian ambassador pointed to the arrogant policies of Washington at the regional and international levels, pointing out that the United States is a country like the rest of the countries, has one voice in the United Nations and does not have anything. 

He questioned the reasons for the presence of US bases in other countries in this quantity and the reason for thinking that this country should be under his command, referring to the authoritarian idea of ​​the US government, stressing the rejection of the Islamic Republic of Iran to this American arrogance.

The Iranian ambassador pointed to the economic and political relations between Iran and the countries of the world, especially the neighboring countries, noting the historical, cultural, political, social and popular ties with Iraq. The two countries enjoy a common border of 1450 km. The presence of the holy shrines and the presence of between 3 and 4 million Iranian visitors annually in Iraq In contrast, Iraqi visitors in Iran. 

Masjedi stressed the strategy of relations with Iraq and its foundation on the foundations of friendship, peace, brotherhood, cooperation and good neighborliness. 

The Iranian ambassador said that Iran wants a strong and advanced Iraq at various levels and will spare no effort to help this neighboring country. 

He said that the days of war against Iran and the support of Iran to Iraq at the request of the official government of this country, and help the country in the training of Iraqi forces after the issuance of an advisory opinion of the religious authority in this regard.

He described the Iraqi army as an army calling for a sense of dignity, stressing that the Iranian forces, despite their exit from Iraq is still on alert and will resume fighting terrorism whenever required. 

The Iranian ambassador denied in Baghdad the existence of any sectarian vision of Iran and distinguish between Sunnis and Shiites, pointing to the concern of the enemies of the efforts of the Islamic Republic to develop the region economically and enhance security. 

Masjedi stressed the lack of Iranian intentions in its relations with Arab countries and said that it is the United States that sows the seeds of differences between us and seeks to spread the idea of ​​intimidation against Iran and the Shiites.
