(Baghdad: Al-Furat News) The parliamentary security and defense committee presented a proposal to amend the military retirement law.
MP Ali al-Ghanmi said in a press statement that "the security establishment needs to support it with many legislations and laws in addition to proposals and amending laws, most importantly the law of the Ministry of Interior and National Security."
He added that "the proposal to amend the law of military retirement includes the amendment of the legal age because the current law does not address the problem of the retirement age of the military," noting that "the military according to the current law in the event of retirement from the age of 45 years does not receive his pension rights but waiting for five years to be able to receive Legally retired ".
He pointed out that "he will not be able to continue in the institution and receive his salary until his retirement because the law set the retirement age of the military by 50 years, which constitutes a financial burden on his family until the start of the pension."
Al-Ghanmi pointed out that "the proposal determines the retirement age of military service years, ie if the military age is less than 50 years old and his service reaches 15 or 20 years, he may retire with a pension without waiting for the legal age specified by the current law."
He pointed out that the proposed new law set a piece of land for the military as a basic right, especially that the new soldiers who volunteered after 2003 and amounted to military service 15 years did not receive any piece of land note that some of them over the age of 50 years will be retired and did not get any piece of housing. is over

    BAGHDAD -
The parliamentary security and defense committee presented a proposal to amend the military retirement law and define it with years of service ranging from 15 to 20 years, and the allocation of plots of land for retirees or those who continue military service.
"The security establishment needs to support it with many legislations and laws in addition to proposals and amending laws, the most important of which is the law of the Ministry of Interior and National Security," MP Ali al-Ghanmi said in an interview with Al-Sabah newspaper.
"The law of military retirement includes the amendment of legal age because the current law does not address the problem of the retirement age of the military."
He added that "the military according to the current law in the event of retirement from the military institution at the age of 45 years does not receive his rights pension, but waiting for five years to be able to receive his retirement legally so he can not continue in the institution and receive his salary until his retirement because the law defined the retirement age of the military 50 years, which is a financial burden on his family until the start of the pension. "
Al-Ghanmi pointed out that "the proposal determines the retirement age of military service years, ie if the military age is less than the age of 50 years and his service reaches 15 or 20 years, he may retire with a pension without waiting for the legal age specified by the current law."
He pointed out that "the proposal of the new law identified a piece of land for the military as a basic right, especially that the new military who volunteered after 2003 and reached their military service 15 years did not receive any piece of land note that some of them over the age of 50 years will be retired and did not get any piece of housing "Ending 29 / a 43
