Iran has used the chaos in Iraq to build a hidden arsenal of short-range ballistic missiles to scare the Middle East and confirm its strength, The New York Times reported on Monday, citing intelligence and military officials.
Iran has exploited the chaos in Iraq to build an arsenal of short-range ballistic missiles in excess of 900 kilometers. The move is part of Iran's efforts to boost its power and scare the region's countries.
The newspaper pointed out that the Iranian missiles pose a threat to US interests and its allies in the region and may endanger US forces.
