    Economy News - Baghdad:
The Minister of Finance, Fouad Hussein, announced that the central government refuses to recognize the presence of 800,000 employees in the Kurdistan region and to grant them salaries.
"The central government pays salaries to 682,000 employees in the Kurdistan region, which amounts to 453 billion dinars, while the Kurdistan Regional Government pays salaries to 800,000 employees," Finance Minister Fouad Hussein said in an interview with Zakros satellite, followed by "The Economy News". Until Baghdad refuses to increase the number of employees in the region.
Hussein stressed that there is a media campaign against the Minister of Finance after the implementation of the 2019 budget law approved by Parliament, adding that the agreement between the Kurdistan region and Baghdad has been frozen due to the lack of approval of the 2020 budget, and this agreement includes solving oil problems and financial revenues.
He noted that the political differences between Baghdad and Erbil cannot be negatively impacted on the lives of simple citizens by cutting salaries, explaining that the survival of oil prices collapsed will be a major problem for Iraq.
Hussein indicated that he held meetings with the central bank and banks for internal borrowing to support the financial budget, just as the caretaker government cannot borrow abroad due to its invalidity, as well as a decision by the House of Representatives prohibiting external borrowing.
He pointed out that the explosive budgets were not used to build the economy and support agriculture and industry.
He pointed out that there is no truth to the existence of information that talks about printing the currency, as the Iraqi economy does not need this option now.
