Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani decided today, Sunday, September 29, 2024, to postpone his official visit to the United Kingdom scheduled for early next October, to a later time.
The Prime Minister's media office said, as received by "Baghdad Today", that the postponement of the visit was "a result of developments in current events on the regional and international arenas."
The region is witnessing severe tension with Israel's assassination of the Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, and senior leaders of his party in a violent bombing of the southern suburb of Beirut the day before yesterday, Friday, with the continued raids on various areas of Lebanon.
