He added, "The function of this committee will be to investigate facts with the Al-Sadr Committee, about all suspicious killing incidents, starting from the date of January 25, 2019, that is, from the date of the assassination of (Wissam Al-Alawi) and his brother, until today."
Al-Khazali indicated that "this committee will also raise the name of any individual who belongs to Asa'ib or claims to belong to it, who proves his involvement in the aforementioned crimes, to declare his innocence and his dismissal."
Over the past period, Maysan Governorate witnessed a series of assassinations that targeted clan dignitaries and members of the Sadrist movement and the "Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq" movement.
Those assassinations affected Judge Ahmed Faseel (on February 5), who specializes in drug cases in the Maysan Court of Appeal.
