Oil prices continued their losses, today, Friday, to trend towards a weekly decline, as the possibility of the return of additional supply from Iran to the market outweighed fears of a possible disruption to supplies as a result of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Brent crude futures fell 47 cents, or 0.5 percent, to $92.50 a barrel, continuing a decline of 1.9 percent from the previous session.
West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures were also down 62 cents, or 0.7%, at $91.14 a barrel, after falling 2% in the previous session.
Both record contracts hit their highest levels since September 2014 on Monday, but were headed for their first weekly decline in nine weeks amid reports of a deal taking shape to revive Iran's 2015 nuclear deal with world powers. Ended 29/A4
