    Today, Wednesday, the North Refineries Company of the Ministry of Oil revealed projects to establish new refineries and refining units, while indicating a timetable for these projects.
    The Director General of the North Refineries, Qassem Hussein, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "There is a plan to establish new refineries and reconstruct the remaining refineries, as two crude oil refining units will be established in the Haditha refinery, with a total capacity of 20 thousand barrels per day, to raise the total capacity of the Haditha refinery to 36. thousand barrels per day," noting that "these two units are under construction and it is hoped that they will be completed early next year, in addition to the establishment of a refining unit that works on Qayyarah heavy crude oil and is dedicated to the production of asphalt, which is currently under study."
    He added, "The plan also includes the establishment of the new Kirkuk investment refinery with a capacity of 75,000 barrels per day, which is under the process of obtaining the approval of the Kirkuk governorate departments, each according to its competence, for the purpose of direct implementation, in addition to the establishment of the Haditha investment refinery with a capacity of 70,000 barrels per day, which is under the process of obtaining referral and review procedures." , in addition to the establishment of the Qayyarah investment refinery with a capacity of 70,000 barrels / day,” noting that “a preliminary agreement was signed with two international companies for the purpose of preparing all the technical requirements for the refinery.”
    And he continued, "We also intend to establish a project for the fourth refining unit in the Al-Siniya refinery and the third refining unit in the Al-Kasak refinery, with a capacity of 10,000 barrels per day each, which is under preparation for the technical study, in addition to establishing the two naphtha hydrogenation units and improving gasoline in Kirkuk, which is an investment project with a capacity of 12,000." barrels per day, which is currently under construction, in addition to the establishment of a project of two units for hydrogenation of naphtha and improvement of gasoline in the Haditha refinery with a capacity of 10,000 barrels per day, which is currently being referred to a specialized international company. 
    He pointed out, "There is a project to rebuild and rehabilitate the North Refinery with a capacity of 150,000 barrels per day, and it is now being referred to thousands of specialized international companies, as well as a project to reconstruct and rehabilitate the second line fat refinery with a capacity of 125 tons annually, which is under preparation for qualification requirements." 
    He explained, "The responsibility for exploiting the quota gas in the Kirkuk fields or any other fields lies with the extraction companies. With regard to the Kirkuk fields, it is the responsibility of the North Oil Company," noting that "regarding the gases emitted from the refineries as a result of refining works, our company was a pioneer in This field is for the purpose of recovering and exploiting the flare gases, and a contract was concluded with one of the international companies for the purpose of exploiting and retrieving the flare gases for the purpose of benefiting from them and improving the environmental reality.
    He added, "After the liberation and the resumption of work, our company began preparing the necessary plans for the purpose of recovering and exploiting the flare gases, including a project to recover and exploit the flare gases in the Kirkuk refinery, which is under the process of soliciting offers from specialized international companies, and a project to recover and exploit the flare gases in the Salah al-Din/1 and Salah al-Din/2 refinery. The technical requirements for this are currently being prepared, and steps will be taken to announce and refer after these requirements are completed,” noting that “the project to recover and exploit the flare gases in the North Refinery has been included in the schedule of quantities for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the North Refinery, as well as a project to recover and exploit the flare gases in the Chinese refineries and Al-Kisk.” It is currently under study to complete the requirements of its announcement and implementation.”
    He pointed out, "The North Refineries Company has set a timetable for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the company's refineries and dividing the business process into five basic stages due to the major damages to the refinery and its infrastructure, and the works of the first, second and third stages have been completed, in addition to the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the operational units in the refinery." Salah al-Din/1 and Salah al-Din/2, technical and service units and infrastructure, with a capacity of 140,000 barrels per day. 
    And he indicated, "The obstacles that prevent the return of production lines to their full capacities are related to determining the company's share of crude oil, in addition to the presence of maintenance work on the liquidators because their lives were carried out according to the critical path that requires the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the liquidators with the capabilities available to the company that depends on the company's self-effort and available from Materials".
    He stressed that "during the current year, all choke points will be addressed," explaining, "With regard to the remaining stages of the reconstruction process, our company has started implementing the reconstruction of the remaining stages and according to the plan established for that and the available financial allocations, and our company has resolved to return the company to its basic design capabilities. In the near future".
