    Parliament discusses the second reading of the proposed food security law, amid parliamentary reservations.

    Parliamentary Finance Committee: The food security proposal is subject to change and amendment.


    In preparation for the voting session on it, the House of Representatives is discussing the second reading of the proposed food security law amid a parliamentary reservation by some political blocs on some articles and points that were described as public waste.

    The food security proposal is on the agenda in a session devoted to the second reading in preparation for a vote on it during the upcoming sessions.. The proposal and in its current form did not escape the reservations of some deputies, stressing that the formula submitted by the Finance Committee contains many comments and cannot be passed without amendments despite the urgent necessity to the law.






    The Parliamentary Finance Committee accepted the reservations of some deputies and put them into consideration in the hope of reviewing them during the upcoming committee meetings, stressing that the proposal, despite the second reading, is subject to modification and change and the distribution of allocations according to the importance and priority according to their description.


    Despite the second reading, the proposed food security law in the face of parliamentary reservations once again, and deputies are talking about the possibility of passing it after the Eid al-Adha holiday.
