Today, Thursday, Minister of Finance, Taif Sami Muhammad, received the German Ambassador to Iraq, Holz Apfel, and her accompanying delegation.
And the Minister of Finance confirmed, according to a statement by the ministry, "Iraq's aspiration for more constructive cooperation with the Federal Republic of Germany and the rest of the European Union, in the interest of the Iraqi people and the German people."
And she welcomed "the continuation of the good bilateral relations between Baghdad and Berlin in various fields, including economic and financial," stressing "its keenness to strengthen partnership and cooperation relations with the German side."
For her part, Ambassador Appel conveyed "the German government's aspiration to develop relations with Iraq in a way that serves common interests," renewing "her government's supportive approach to Iraq and in a way that works to achieve the interests of the two friendly countries."
