Shafaq News/ The British "Med" magazine stated, on Monday, that the value of the project market in Iraq declined by 31.6% in one year, from December 2, 2021 to December 2, 2022.

The magazine said in a report, seen by Shafaq News agency, that the "Med Projects" index showed that the value of the projects market in the Middle East region declined over a year, with the market losing $139 billion of its value after the project market in Iraq declined by 31.9 percent, indicating This led to a decrease in the volume of the Kuwait, Oman and Qatar markets on the index throughout the year, by 2, 5.6 and 1.6 percent, respectively, with the three countries losing $17.4 billion combined.
She added, "The market value of projects grew in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain partially by 3.3 percent during the year, and in Bahrain by about 16 percent. The project market in Iran grew by 20.6 percent, adding $48.7 billion."
MEED explained that "the decline in the value of the project market in each of the Middle East countries is due to the reassessment of the scope of old projects in Iraq and the UAE."
