Today, Saturday, the Municipality of Baghdad announced the start of implementing 35 new projects to serve the capital.
A statement of the secretariat stated, "The Projects Department, according to the directives of the Prime Minister and the direction of the Mayor of Baghdad, has begun work to develop 21 sectors in Sadr City, confirming the near development of 12 new sectors in the city."
He added, "The aforementioned department has also started the work of developing and expanding the street extending from Al-Hassanin Square to the intersection of Baghdad University in Al-Jadriya, and developing and expanding Musa Al-Kadhim Street from the intersection of Baratha Mosque to the 14th of Ramadan Bridge."
And he continued, "The Municipality of Baghdad also started developing stores 602, 608, 639, 641, 629, 613, developing and expanding the main recreational club street in the Yarmouk area within the Mansour municipality sector, and developing Street 61 separating between shops 885 and 883 within the Rashid municipality sector."
And that "its work also included the direct reduction of Abu Jaafar Al-Mansour Square and the development of the street to address the traffic momentum in the area."
He pointed out that "the engineering cadres of the Projects Department also started developing the locality 365 in the Bob Al-Sham area and developing and expanding the service street near the Iraqi University in the Seven Abkar area, north of the capital, Baghdad."
He pointed out that "the Baghdad Municipality will work to install light structures and lighting bulletins within the bridges (Al-Sanak, Al-Jumhuri, Al-Shuhada, and the Medical City)."
