The Directorate said in a statement, which "NAS" received a copy of, (March 3, 2023), that "the Islamic Republic of Iran has provided facilities for the citizens of the Kurdistan region and allows any passport valid for a period of six to three months to obtain a visa from the Iranian consulate, especially those who are in Much needed at this time."

"In general, the passport must be valid for more than six months, then you can travel to Iran without a visa," she explained.

And the Directorate indicated, "The offer is to help the residents of the Kurdistan region to travel without renewing their passports within the specified period."
