The Kurdistan Region presents the advantages of the electronic visa: It provides facilities to attract capital

Shafaq News / The Kurdistan Regional Government confirmed, on Saturday, the continuation of its steps in the electronic transformation of public services to reduce red tape, and launched the "electronic visa portal", through which visitors can obtain an electronic visa via (online).
The head of the Information Technology Department, Hiwa Effendi, told the official website of the Kurdistan Regional Government, which was seen by Shafaq News Agency; "The main objective of this system is to provide the necessary facilities to attract foreign capital to the Kurdistan Region, because countries are defined by the extent of their willingness to invest capital and the amount of facilities they provide in this regard."
He continued, "At the request of the Prime Minister, an electronic visa system was established for tourists and investors, who are permitted, according to the law, to visit the Kurdistan Region without a prior visa, through an electronic system linked to the Kurdistan Regional Government portal, as visitors will be able to obtain a visa in a few minutes." And pay their fees at the same time, and then the visa arrives in their email in a very short period.”
The portal was dedicated to those wishing from all over the world to visit the Kurdistan Region for tourism, business or investment purposes, which makes applying for a visa an easy and fast process.
On the importance of the system and its characteristics, the Director General of the Ministry of Interior, Hemin Mirani, told the official website of the Kurdistan Regional Government, "This system includes a number of characteristics, including that for the first time the technicians of the Kurdistan Regional Government, within the Information Technology Department, can launch such an important project, and local capabilities.
He added, "The system as a whole was developed with local capabilities, and it was put in the service of the Ministry of Interior, and the Ministry of Interior teams received the necessary training on the work of the system, and from now on, distinguished guests who wish to visit the Kurdistan Region, whether they are individuals, companies or delegations, can provide their applications through this system and through the government portal to obtain a visa.”
With regard to the work of the system and the facilities it provides for the entry of tourists and foreign individuals to the borders of the Kurdistan Region, the visa director at the Ministry of Interior, Ihsan Jaafar, said: “Previously, the process of issuing a visa for foreigners went through many detailed steps, but it disappeared in this system, and it became possible to grant a visa to anyone He wants to visit Kurdistan in one step."
The facilities provided and the modernization of the visitation system to the Kurdistan Region is a step that will reflect positively on the tourism and investment sectors, in addition to benefiting from the data of this portal, which makes the entry system into the Kurdistan Region modern.
Also, through this system, foreigners can apply for a visa and pay for it electronically, and after approval, they can visit the Kurdistan Region.
