The Minister of Transport, Razzaq Al-Saadawi, issued today, Monday, important directives related to anti-corruption measures. A threat to those who do not abide by the implementation of the ministerial program.
The ministry stated, in a statement, which Mawazine News received a copy of, that “Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhaibis Al-Saadawi, held an important meeting today with undersecretaries, general managers and a number of officials, to discuss and follow up the government program, based on the recent directives of the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani. regarding the necessity of adhering to the ministerial curriculum, and working to fully implement its contents, away from any jurisprudence.
During the meeting, the minister directed all general managers to "address problems and obstacles to advance the status of the formations, in a way that guarantees providing the best services to citizens," stressing "the need to combat financial and administrative corruption."
He pointed out, "The need for the ministry's project plans and programs to be compatible with the priorities set by the government in its ministerial platform," stressing that "the work of all the ministry's formations should be removed from any partisan and other interferences, and the commitment to independence in functional work."
The minister emphasized, "the necessity of facilitating the procedures for retired employees."
Al-Saadawi directed the general managers to "give the government curriculum great attention," noting that "principals who do not commit to implementing the ministerial program bear full responsibility, and that everyone will be subject to evaluation criteria."
The minister said, "All general managers have not yet submitted reports that include the most important measures taken to combat corruption in their formations," calling on them to "conduct periodic visits to the formations' branches in order to identify obstacles and find quick solutions to address them."
Al-Saadawi noted that "there are losing companies that did not present any plans to advance their reality," pointing out that "the ministerial curriculum aims to develop the work of the ministry in all its formations to serve the citizens."
And he added, "The minister's directives included an emphasis on the need for the work of ministry officials to be field and realistic, and not to sit behind offices, because treatments and solutions require field tours and direct follow-ups."
The minister pointed out, during the meeting, that "the Ministry of Transport is one of the service ministries, so it needs continuous real follow-up by general managers, and exceptional efforts, in order to provide the best services to citizens and enhance government work."
