The Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhaibas Al-Saadawi, confirmed today, Wednesday, that the development road receives the attention of the Prime Minister and we will work on it in parallel with Al-Faw Port.
The Ministry of Transport stated in a statement received by Mawazine News, “Al-Saadawi began his visit to the Grand Al-Faw Port by inspecting work on the road project linking the Grand Al-Faw and Umm Qasr ports,” stressing that “the completion rates are witnessing an increasing pace.”
The statement added, "Al-Saadawi, upon his arrival at the Grand Port of Al-Faw, directed him, along with the Governor of Basra, Asaad Al-Eidani, and the Director General of Iraqi Ports, Farhan Al-Fartusi, to organize a mourning stand for the martyrs of the brotherly Palestinian people in the Al-Baptisti Hospital massacre, which was committed on Tuesday evening by the brutal Israeli occupation."
The statement continued, "Al-Saadawi conducted a field tour of the five berth projects within the first phase of the Grand Al-Faw Port."
Al-Saadawi stated, according to the statement, that “the completion rates achieved in the project have reached more than 76 percent,” noting that “work is progressing according to the timelines specified for it.”
He explained, "The Ministry will work in parallel to initiate the development path that has been put into effect, and which receives the attention and support of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani."
