Today, Tuesday (November 14, 2023), the Federal Supreme Court terminated the membership of Speaker of the House of Representatives Muhammad al-Halbousi and Representative Laith al-Dulaimi.
A statement to the court media received by “Baghdad Today” stated, “Today, Tuesday, the Federal Supreme Court considered the case No. 9/Federal/2023, and decided, in accordance with the ruling issued therein, to terminate the membership of the Speaker of the House of Representatives (Muhammad Rikan Al-Halbousi) and to terminate the membership of the Representative (Laith Mustafa Hamoud Al-Dulaimi). ) As of the date of issuance of the ruling on 11/14/2023.”
The Federal Court confirmed that its decision was “final and binding on all authorities.”
