    Today, Wednesday, I directed the Minister of Finance, Taif Sami, to form a liaison unit to follow up on the letters and correspondence of the House of Representatives.
    The ministry stated in a statement received by Al-Iqtisad News, “In accordance with the directives of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, on the importance of achieving integration and fruitful cooperation between the legislative and executive authorities and its positive repercussions on the national work system, the Minister of Finance, Taif Sami, met with a number of members of the Iraqi Council of Representatives in Parliament headquarters.
    She added, "It was discussed to discuss a number of joint files and provide clarifications related to the work of the ministry and its ministerial program related to the financial and reform policy and discuss them with the minister, in addition to listening to the demands and opinions of members and exchanging views on public financial affairs, in addition to following up on official correspondence and letters between the two sides and determining Measures to be completed as quickly as possible.”
    The Minister of Finance stressed, according to the statement, that “these meetings come within the framework of continuing cooperation between the ministry and the parliamentary committees concerned with financial and economic affairs, and working in the spirit of one team to reach common consensus and a unified vision, in a way that guarantees the interest of the nation and citizens.”
    She pointed out that "the meeting represents an opportunity to listen to the representatives of the people in the House of Representatives and find solutions to all issues of concern to the legislative and executive authorities," noting "the interest that the Prime Minister devotes to supporting the existing cooperation and coordination between them, and his constant keenness to communicate with members of the House of Representatives."
    She urged "all ministry formations, based on the directives of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, to form a liaison unit with the minister's office that includes candidates from the ministry formations, which will undertake the responsibility of following up on the letters and correspondence of the House of Representatives, preparing answers and submitting them to the office of the Minister of Finance within 3 days from the date of receipt of those correspondences."
