    Economy News - Baghdad
On Thursday, the General Authority for Heritage and Antiquities in Iraq announced the discovery of nearly 50 archaeological sites and new heritage buildings in Kirkuk Governorate.
The authority stated in a statement received by Al-Iqtisad News that the archaeological and heritage survey operations carried out by the cadres of the Kirkuk Antiquities and Heritage Inspectorate resulted in the registration of more than 15 new archaeological sites and 30 heritage buildings.
In turn, the head of the Archaeological and Heritage Survey Committee, Hadi Muhammad, announced that the archaeological and heritage survey mission would begin its work in the Al-Musalla area and Imam Qasim, the center of Kirkuk, and on both banks of the Zab River, noting the possibility of discovering other sites before the end of the survey work next January.
