The Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, Engineer Hayan Abdul-Ghani Al-Sawad, today inaugurated the ship Shanasheel within the fleet of the Basra Oil Company, indicating in his speech (to Baghdad Today) that the ship Shanasheel is a workshop for the maintenance of sea ports of large-weight buoys for maintenance, as it contains a crane with a capacity of 600 tons for maintenance. It contains all the equipment through which maintenance operations can be carried out.
Al-Sawad pledged to increase the fleet of tankers for the Oil Tanker Company through purchasing or partnering with companies and then moving on to own these tankers.
Al-Sawad stated that this ship was built with a sum of money amounting to 65 million dollars, and today the price of this ship reaches approximately 165, and therefore there is a great benefit from this tanker.
