    Information / Baghdad..
Member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Mustafa Jabbar Sand, revealed today, Monday, exciting details regarding the Basra-Aqaba oil pipeline, while confirming that the project was financed within the budget at a cost of 5 billion dollars.
Sand told Al-Maalouma Agency, "The Basra-Aqaba oil pipeline project is divided into two parts, the first is modern Basra, and the project will be financed by the state within the Iraqi-Chinese agreement."
He added, "The information available to us is that there is a joint Iraqi-Jordanian committee (GMC) and the second section is extending a pipeline from Haditha to Aqaba," noting that there are parliamentary concerns about oil being delivered to parties hostile to Iraq."
He added, "The project will cost Iraq a huge financial cost without any economic benefit, in addition to the confiscation of the pipelines, similar to the pipelines that Iraq built with Syria and Saudi Arabia." End / 25 H
