Al-Gharabi said, "The committee addressed the ministry regarding the issue, and an official letter was sent to the Minister of Labor, who expressed his approval to hold workshops and groups within hospitals, to conduct complete statistics on cancer patients with the aim of including them in social care."

He added that "the Ministries of Health and Labor are supposed to form a joint committee to complete the required statistics," indicating that "the necessary medical reports are available, and statistics can be collected quickly and directly, due to the urgent need to follow up on this issue," according to the official Al-Sabah newspaper.

He stated that "the lack of accurate statistics on cancer patients represents a major problem, and increases the difficulty of determining the extent of the danger facing the country," noting that "the committee will add the Cancer Council in the Ministry of Health to accelerate the collection of statistics from different regions." Al

-Gharabi expressed his concern about the high rates of cancer in some governorates, especially those producing oil, due to "environmental waste and air, soil and water pollution," stressing that "these dangerous indicators require urgent action, but the absence of accurate numbers so far represents a major challenge to effectively addressing this danger."
