    Alsumaria News - Politics

The Kurdish blocs in the House of Representatives expressed their strong dissatisfaction with the failure to pass the draft law to return properties to their owners included in some decisions of the dissolved Revolutionary Command Council, calling for the necessity of passing it after many citizens were harmed by it.

The blocs said in a statement received by Sumaria News, "We, the Kurdish blocs in the Iraqi Council of Representatives, announce our dissatisfaction and strong criticism of the position of some blocs and political forces within the Council that deliberately, unfortunately, did not pass and approve (the draft law to return properties to their owners included in some decisions of the dissolved Revolutionary Command Council)."

The blocs added that "the law was on the agenda of yesterday's session, paragraph one, and if this law is voted on, it will do justice to those who were harmed and suffered from the policies of oppression and displacement during the dictatorship."

The blocs continued, "The draft law includes many areas of Iraq and lifts the injustice from the oppressed and restores their properties that were confiscated during the era of the defunct Baath."

The Kurdish blocs called on the parliamentary blocs to "stand with us to pass the draft law to achieve justice and end the harm to citizens who were victims of the policies of the defunct regime, and to ensure stability and societal peace, especially in the disputed areas."
