    The Transparency website announced the non-oil imports
    of the provinces of Sulaymaniyah and Halabja and the administrations of Garmian and Raparin during the past month of October, which amounted to more than 63 billion dinars. According to the Transparency website, the non-oil imports of the provinces of Sulaymaniyah and Halabja and the administrations of Garmian and Raparin during the past month of October amounted to 63 billion, 308 million, 697 thousand, and 94 dinars, where 55 billion, 762 million, 99 thousand, and 405 dinars, or 86% of which were in cash, and 7 billion, 639 million, 354 thousand, and 198 dinars, or 12% of which were in the form of checks, and the rest in the form of clearing.
    Thus, imports increased during the month of October compared to the month of September by more than 222 million dinars, or 0.334%.
    As for last week's imports from 10/26 to 11/1/2024, they were 15 billion, 245 million, 120 thousand, and 948 dinars.
    After 30 years of Kurdish rule in the Kurdistan Region, Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, announced on 12/15/2022, the Transparency Project for Non-Oil Imports in the Governorates of Sulaymaniyah and Halabja and the Administrations of Garmian and Raparin, which is the first of its kind in Kurdistan and Iraq in general.
    The project was widely welcomed in Kurdish circles, calling for its generalization to include oil imports and imports from all regions of Kurdistan.
    Qubad Talabani said in the speech announcing the project: "I announce an important project, which is the Transparency Project for Non-Oil Imports."
    He added: “Transparency is a program that includes all non-oil imports in the provinces of Sulaymaniyah and Halabja and the administrations of Raparin and Garmian, where they are collected daily with complete transparency and are recorded so that everyone can view the details of those imports at any time through the website shafafiat.com.
    The Deputy Prime Minister continued by saying: This idea came because transparency is the basic pillar for the emergence of trust between the citizen and any political authority in the world, so it is important for you to review it.”
