[ltr][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Baghdad -arac Press -16 May / May: Parliamentary Finance Committee revealed on Monday, for the direct intervention of theInternational Monetary Fund and the World Bank in approving the Iraqi federal budget for thecurrent year 2016, and confirmed that theparliament did not approve the budget until afterthe presentation to the parties ruling out thepossibility of reducing the request of theInternational Monetary Fund .
He told the International Monetary Fund for Iraq, recently, the need to reduce the budget for fiscal 2016 compared to a loan of $ 5 billion disbursed.
He said the Commission 's decision Masood Haider in a press statement, " The 2016 budget has been law legislation which is installed by legislation in Parliament, and can not be reduced, as was determined the budget incoordination with the International Monetary Fund and World Bank, and against which expressed the Fund 's willingness to lend Iraq $ 5 billion, and now in Iraq negotiate on that. "
He added that "by reading the budget in a timely manner, approval has been delayed for two weeks in order to negotiate withthe International Monetary and have studied the bill and therefore confirmed that they will support in light of Iraq."
He said Haidar, said that "there are certain things many, including taxes and fees collection and encourage the private sector ,said the UN Secretary - General Ban Ki - moon during his speech in parliament," adding that " the International Monetary conditions were clear and the Iraq stimulate the private sector and create jobs in it, and reduce the pressure on the public sector, and the imposition of collection fees and find other sources of revenue for the state not to rely only on oil. "
The Presidency of the Parliament has called on the heads of blocs and parliamentary committees to an urgent meeting on Sunday to take legislative and legal needed to reduce the budget at the request of the International Monetary measures.
And he explained the chairman of the parliament of these measures, that " the Government Treasury is unable to pay and benefits for the people without access to this loan salaries."
And arrived Finance Minister Hoshyar Zebari, on Saturday , to the Jordanian capital of Amman on the head of a large government delegation "to resume negotiations with the International Monetary Fund in order to conclude the credit readiness will provide Iraq with financial support to enable it to overcome the financial crisis and reduce the gap in the budget so as topromote the reform of the agreement economic and financial system in the country. "
The delegation included the Governor of the Central Bank and the Economic Adviser , Prime Minister and senior ministries ofoil and electricity, planning and BSA officials as well as public bodies for Customs, taxes and retirement, experts and theMinistry of Finance and the Central Bank.
According to a ministry statement said , " The first session was held on Saturday morning with the IMF experts were reviewingthe technical aspects of the agreement and the obligations opposite of the two sides, and that the negotiations will continue until Wednesday, and it is hoped that the termination of these arrangements during this period , " .anthy (1)
