Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Hanan al-Fatlawi, of the State of Law Coalition ruled out bringing Rafi al-Esawi, to his post as the Minister of Finance.
She stated to IraqiNews.com “Esawi’s return to the Council of Ministers is not possible because he had resigned and his resignation was accepted,” noting that “He is wanted for the judicial authorities for terrorism and corruption charges.”
Some media outlets quoted officials within the SLC as confirming for Esawi that the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, is ready to issue a special pardon for him.
Earlier, Esawi resigned before the demonstrators in Ramadi city.
