Donald Trump issues veiled Twitter warning to the United Nations

On Friday, President-elect Donald Trump used his favorite source of communication to let the United Nations — and the world — know that he intends to make changes that will may affect the U.N. after he’s inaugurated in January 2017.
The only thinly-veiled threat comes as a response to the unprecedented move made by the Obama administration this week in declining to vote on a resolution before the international body that mandated Israel cease settlement building in Palestinian-occupied areas.
The U.S. has traditionally protected Israel when similar resolutions have been presented before the UN. This marks the first time the US has allowed a resolution of this kind to be passed.
The vote has led to international outcry from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump, top Trump surrogate Newt Gingrich and South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham, who suggested on Saturday defunding the U.N.
